Summer Solstice picnic on Grey Mountain.
Shea surprised me this 21st of June with an evening picnic on Grey Mountain in a sweet secret spot hidden on a ridge overlooking Whitehorse and the mountains beyond. It's not a typical anniversary but we seem to celebrate it anyway; it's when we met, here in Whitehorse, three years ago. Summer Solstice was the first full day Anne and I spent in the Yukon (June, 2007)
We had joined Shea in the evening for a spot of Shakespeare in the Park (A Midsummer Nights Dream) and then drove up Grey Mountain to celebrate the Solstice under the Midnight Sun. It was just lovely.
Almost as lovely as this solstice and Shea's surprise picnic.
He'd packed a nice red wine, nibbles type dinner and even managed to bring in our camping stove and melt some chocolate to dip fruit in for a dessert...
It was most lovely! I feel a lucky girl.
