A portrait a week of my "two george-us kids" (quote from Little Ladie).
The moment of meeting. She was so shy when she first entered our hospital room with her Grandma. No running to Mama for a cuddle. No excitement. Just a shy little foot shuffle on the floor as she looked at us and then the floor. At us and then her Grandma.
She sat on my hospital bed and we gently placed Little Lochie in her lap. She looked shyly at him. At us. At him. "Kiss-a baby?" she asked. She gave him a gentle kiss on the forehead. On the tip of one of his tiny fingers.
And she continues to ask the same question daily. Though she's obviously processing this new addition to our home, she shows nothing but affection for Baby Lochie.
And utter defiance and opposition toward us. We receive the tantrums and tears that two-year old's deliver with such passion. There've been a couple of moments of my two george-us kids crying at the same time which add a certain strain around the eyes of their Mountain Dad. On the whole though, it's been a pretty damn george-us few days.
